You Look Great, Is That LED or Botox?

Wrinkles_LED_LightsI’m not sure how much I believe this. I’ll let you readers decide.

German researchers have studied the affects of LED lights on the face and have concluded that under certain conditions, LED light can “rejuvenate skin, reduce wrinkle levels, juvenile complexion and lasting resilence.” The study, which was published in the American Chemical Society’s Crystal Growth and Design magazine, applied high-intensity visible LED lights daily for several weeks to facial wrinkles to come to this conclusion.

It is there opinion that LED light sources could one day compete with Botox, Restylane and collagen treatments as the next beauty treatment.

So maybe all those times your dad held that LED flashlight up to his face in an effort to make that ghost story a little more frightening, he was actually giving himself a skin rejuvenation treatment. Ummm – maybe not.

I am trying to hunt down the actual study online – I’ll post it if I find it. Here are a few other links reporting this story for now.
