Willamette River Fishing Seminar | Feb 25
For many, fishing is closely tied with vacations. We plan a hiking or camping trip up to our favorite lake expecting to enjoy the great outdoors for an extended weekend. During that time, we plan to throw our pole in the water and test our skills with the lake trout. But for many this year, planning one or more fishing vacations may not be in the cards. To save money, some of you anglers may be looking for less expensive ways to get out on the water without spending a lot of money.
For those in the Willamette Valley, you are in luck. Running through or near your very city is a rich source of fish, ripe for the catching. The Willamette can offer a fun Sunday afternoon fishing trip nearby. That means less gas to spend getting their and less supplies needed. It is just a matter of knowing how to catch fish on this river.
Tyler Courtney and Mark Lytle will lead a discussion on techniques best used for catching Willamette River spring chinook and summer steelhead at the Fisherman’s Marine and Outdoor store in Oregon City this Wednesday. You may want to drop into this free event and get some pointers so you will be ready.
