Spelunking Smart This Spring

7468 Coast HeadlampLooking forward to a caving experience this Spring? Do your friends have you signed up for a spelunking vacation? Caving can be dangerous but exhilarating fun. There are some precautions you should always take.

1. Never attempt an exploration without a well experienced guide.
2. If you do visit a site that allows self-exploration, make sure to read all the information available before entering.
3. Avoid exploring solo and make sure you and your buddies have an emergency kit on hand that includes a flashlight and headlamp and follow all directed paths.
4. Stay within marked areas. Many people think they can go beyond pre-marked areas but unfortunately find themselves lost or trapped. Always use caution and stay within the boundaries unless with a guide.

You’ll want the best in lighting technology for this unique experience. The LED Industrial Series Heavy duty headlamps are a great choice for this unique experience. The Coast 7468 Powerchip Headlamp features adjustable rubber straps for helmet use and a dimmer so you can switch from bright to low light, and anywhere in between.

Caving is a great adventure and allows you to see a world beyond the surface. Just be smart, obey the safety procedures, and don’t forget your LED lights at home!
