Sonora Resort Grizzly Tour
This is the perfect time of year to catch grizzly bears in action in the Northwest. Hiking and vacation tours through some of Washington and British Columbia’s best forest land take you close to the action. Ann Campbell has written a great article on the grizzly tours available at Sonora Resort. The tour takes interested animal watchers up the Orford River where the salmon are returning to spawn and the bears congregate in wait for them.
During Campbell’s grizzly bear excursion she was able to watch nine bears wading through the rivers, eating salmon and laying around the banks.
