Red Rock Canyon Hiking to Benefit American Diabetes Association
Michelle Edgington is setting out to make a difference not only for herself but for the millions like her who are suffering from diabetes. The Henderson, Nevada resident is organizing “Walk the Rock,” a hiking event at Red Rock Canyon to raise funds for the American Diabetes Association. The event will take place Saturday, October 20.
Edgington recently was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes and has been dealing with the tremendous changes that have taken place in her life since getting the illness. Edgington hopes that by holding this event as part of the “Step Out to Fight Diabetes” program, others can share their experiences, learn about diabetes and help in finding a solution.
Event participants are requested to meet at the Red Rock Casino park lot where they will take a bus to the park.
