National Trails Day – June 7
The 16th Annual National Trails Day will take place June 7th. Hosted by the American Hiking Society, the day will celebrate America’s incredible trail systemand the hikers and outdoor enthusiasts that support them.
National Trade Day organizers are encouraging hikers of all ages and skill levels to get out and embrace what nature has to offer to commemorate the day. Just a few examples may be:
~ Plan a family hike along a U.S. hiking trail in your area
~ Take a guided hike of an area you may not have hiked before
~ Plan a summer camping and hiking trip to a national park you love
~ Try something adventureous – hire a guide to take you cave hiking
~ Take a bike ride along a biking trail
~ Volunteer at one of the many National Trails Day events
