LEDs Will Gain Popularity As Architectural Use Increases Says Expert Panel
During a recent roundtable discussion about the lighting trends of the future, a panel of lighting experts noted that architecture applications will play a major part in growing the popularity of LED lamps.
The panel believes that familiarity and understanding of LED benefits by the broader public will take place as the technology is utilized more heavily in architectural lighting. By providing architects with quality, reliable products to install into future buildings, signage and architectural elements, the growth and public awareness of the technology will be able to grow by leaps and bounds. Already 10% of neon lighting used for advertising has been replaced by LEDs. You can read about many recent architectural uses of LED lamps in the LED news section of this blog.
A key reason architects are and should continue to use LEDs is their ability to change color by the use of RGB modules. Exterior lighting and ambient lighting in bars, museums and concert halls are creating headlines and curiosity because of their visual appeal.
