LED Light Applications Becoming More and More Diverse
LED light applications are becoming more and more diverse. The future of LED technology is wide open and manufacturers and service providers all over the world are figuring out how they can take a great, cost-effective, energy-saving product like LEDs and incorporate them into their business model and/or future project roadmaps.
Take this one for example. German LED technology provider Novaled is teaming up with steel maker, Arcelor, to develop a new OLED fixture – a bright OLED on flexible substrates for signs and lighting purposes. By using steel plate substrates instead of standard glass sheets, the companies hope to create a whole new gamut of usage models for OLED technologies. This design, according to Novaled and Arcelor is more robust and durable because of its flexibility.
