LED Lenser Drumsticks | Rock and Roll’s Newest Superstar
I am not a drummer. When I was 22 I had this amazing idea that I would teach myself to play the drums. After all, I played in the junior high school band. I could read music. Surely, I could figure out the fine art of banging on buckets. I acquired a free drum set from a friend. It was incredible. The drums were covered in red faux velvet and had fuzzy pompoms dangling off the sides. I was so excited.
At that time I would have given anything to be able to play in a band in some dark but hip bar. I would be in the back, in the shadows, but I would be there, the heartbeat of the band. Mystified by the music and generally exhilarated at being able to play on stage, I would have definitely bought a set of LED Lenser drumsticks to create my identity.
These things are pretty ingenious. The drumsticks, a standard 15 ½ inches long made of a high quality aircraft grade aluminum, have LED lights in the tips. The glow creates a great visual, eye-catching effect for a drummer who generally gets little face time except for maybe a courteous bow somewhere mid-set. While the lead singer usually gets all the attention from screaming girls, the drummer just may steal a couple of them with these awesome LED drumsticks.
The LED Lenser Drumsticks are available with Blue LED lights or a 7 color rotating LED light. The stick heads are made from high gloss polished polycarbonate. Should the heads break, they can be screwed off and replaced with the replacement heads easily.
As for me, I couldn’t keep a beat to save my life. The drum set sat in my dining room for a year and became a novelty for my visiting friends. My dreams of being in a band dissipated and I was forced to move on.
