Land Donated to the Cumberland Trail State Park, Tennessee
Over 300 acres of land were donated to the Cumberland Trail State Park this week. Plateau Properties donated the land which includes the top of Brady Mountain, Brady Bluffs and Salt Peter Cave. The Cumberland Trail is a unique state park because it connects some great natural treasures across the state. The Cumberland Trail begins at Cumberland Gap State Park and runs south to Chickamauga National Military Park. It includes more than 11,000 acres and 150 miles of completed trails.
The donation was made in honor of noted conservationist and champion of the Cumberland Trail, Bob Brown, and Arthur Harrison, father of Plateau Properties owner, Rob Harrison. Harrison is a reminder that there are a number of creative ways to make conservaton gifts. Those able to are encouraged to work with organizations like State Parks to help preserve natural hiking trails, caves and other treasures of the land.
