Going Green – Going LED
The word is spreading. LED lighting in commercial and residential buildings provides a tremendous payback in terms of long-term costs and energy-efficiency. Sentry Equipment Corporation is the latest company to realize that incorporating LED lighting into their new manufacturing and office building just makes sense.
Sentry has selected Beta LED to outfit its new building with LED light fixtures. “Working with Beta LED has been both a logical business decision and a responsible choice for the environment,” said Sentry CEO Michael Farrell. “I know we are going to realize an excellent ROI on these lights. Their long-life and virtually maintenance-free operation made it an easy choice.”
Sentry is committed to build the entire building in a sustainable fashion and have challenged their contractors to come up with green solutions wherever possible. Sentry’s design company, Opus North Corporation, will also incorporate an on-site storm water treatment and infiltration system, high-efficiency glass and low-consumption plumbing fixtures, in addition to energy-saving LED lighting, to the new building.
LED light applications are the green solution in this day and age.

The daily savings is equal to the amount of electricity consumed by a typical 2,000-square-foot house in a month. [...]
