Free Guided Hikes with Oregon Wild Summer

Minnie Scott Spring in OregonBalmy weather was late to Oregon this year; the chilly, misty days of a traditional Northwest winter lasted right into June. It’s easy to go stir crazy under such conditions. Did this spring’s clouds keep you indoors, feeling trapped like a noble stag stuck in a cow corral? Oregon Wild to the rescue!

The conservation non-profit has expanded its “Wilderness Week” to stretch throughout the summer. Oregon Wild Summer will include free and guided hikes, campouts, and fishing trips, all open to the public, and varying from quick family-friendly hikes to rigorous treks. The trips are a wonderful way to learn about how we can help conserve Oregon’s stunning wilderness, especially since a guide will be on hand to answer questions. For more information and to register, please visit oregonwild.org, or call Margaret De Bona at 503-283-6343 ext. 210.
