For the Ladies: Favorite Flashlights and Multitools for the Purse
While reading Health magazine this week, I came across an article on the secret weapons that should be in every woman’s purse. I was intrigued that in addition to such things as moist towelettes, sunglasses, a ponytail holder and a safety pin the authors included a mini-flashlight and a multitool to the list. It makes sense – for women who may have to walk to their car alone, a flashlight can be handy and can ward off predators. And a multitool is the mini-answer to all sorts of problems both big and small.
So I started looking through Discount Lights and Knives selection to pick out what I felt would be the ideal flashlights and multi-tools to be counted among a women’s purse essentials. Here were my favorites.
Purse Flashlights
The V6 Stainless Steel 6 Chip was featured in the Jan 07 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine. If Oprah likes it, I definitely think its worth a look. This LED flashlight uses the coast LED Lenser Clover reflector system to provide a broad, even beam that can large up very large areas. This light is perfect for walking home or walking through a parking lot. Plus its just 3 5/8″ long making it easy and light to carry in your purse. The light costs $40 which is a good investment since it will last up to 100,000 hours of continual use.
The V2 Micro Moon Lenser is a dainty 3 1/16″ long but puts off an incredible amount of light. This little torch uses the Coast crystal reflector tube system to create a bright distinct light. This one is just $12.00 and can be clipped onto a notebook or organizer so it can be easy to find in a bag both big and small.
Purse Multi-Tools
The LED Commander is a great starter multitool for the woman on the go. This 10 function tool includes a stainless steel knife, scissors, nail file, cap lifter and screwdrivers. The Repairman has everything you need and its cute to boot. This tool is made of German stainless steel and includes screwdrivers, blades, bottle opener, scissors, tweezers and nail file. The whole thing is just 3.25″ long when closed and can be hooked to your keychain for easy access. The Repairman (or Repairwoman as I shall now call it) is just $20.00.
