Developing LED Lighting Fundamentals in the UK
The UK is worried about the slow adoption of sustainable lighting technology in the country so they are taking matters into their own hands. The government is funding a 12-month sustainable technology project to develop sound lighting practices, specifically in the construction sector, that can be used worldwide.
“There has been a slow uptake on the use of sustainable lighting technology in the UK, notably in the building industry. LED lighting is extremely sustainable and ideal for white light ambient solutions in internal environments. The research project will raise awareness and understanding of how LED technology can benefit the construction sector,” said joint managing director of High Technology Lighting, Thomas Holgeth in a recent press release.
