Cree Opens Technical Education Center in Shenzhen
Lighting designers now have a new place to turn to learn about the basics of LEDs – their measurements, circuitry and functionality. Cree has opened the Cree Shenzhen Engineering Center in Shenzhen, China as a training facility to lighting product designers and manufacturers interested in learning the best practices for LED light design and construction. The facility will have application engineers, along with technical and sales staff available to teach courses and provide consultation on XLamp LED designs. The staff will also be able to evaluate new LED designs for efficiency and performance.
“For designers who are creating efficient LED fixtures, using industry-leading Cree XLamp LEDs is only one element of a successful design,” said George Li, Cree Hong Kong director of sales in a recent press release. “By helping our customers create more effective and efficient LED systems, we hope to accelerate the worldwide adoption of high-quality LED lighting.”
Cree customers will have access to courses and curriculum on Basic LEDS, Basic Color Theory and Measurement, Circuitry Design, Optical Design and Common Problems / Solutions.
As more and more architects and construction companies incorporate LED lighting into their building and city designs, the ability to ask questions about these new innovative lights has grown. This is an excellent attempt by Cree to grow adoption of this efficient lighting.
