The sixth annual Lighting for Tomorrow competition recently announced this year’s winners in energy-efficient lighting innovation. Entries were judged on the color appearance, distribution and amount of light, innovation and efficiency of each entry. Cree LED Lighting Solutions won the recessed downlight category with their LR4 downlight for home or office because of its superior energy efficiency and color quality. Cree provides LED light bulbs for many Coast LED flashlights and headlamp designs. Other winners were Kichler Lighting for their under-cabinet light fixture and Luximo for their portable desk light.
