Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Fundraising Event

Get involved next Fall by signing up you and a team of individuals in the Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up fundraising event.  Hikers, Bikers and simple staircase climbers can join together to raise awareness for children suffering from AIDS and money to help get anti-retroviral medication into the hands of children affected by HIV and AIDS.  The hike/climb is hosted by the American Foundation for Children with AIDS and will take place September 20-21, 2008.  Participating teams will be given the opportunity to climb, ride, hike or walk up any mountain, hiking trail or forest of their choosing under certain guidelines in an effort to raise money for an incredible cause.  Last year’s participants biked through the Cascades, climbed 30 pitches, organized climbing days at their local gyms, and hiked with their family around their neighborhood.

You can learn more and register for the event by going to the American Foundation for Children web site. You can also donate to the organization separately by visiting http://apps.facebook.com/causes/view_cause/46937
