Chelsea Football Club Installs New LED Banners
Only a few years ago, LED lights were found in very few products, like cell phone displays and Christmas lights. Now, Light Emitting Diode lights can be found in hundreds of applications. Many businesses and governments are switching to LED lights, since they use much less energy than traditional lighting. As a result, consumers see LEDs everyday, often in large electronic advertisements.
The Chelsea Football Club recently announced that it will partner with Philips to install 250 meters, or about 820 feet, of LED banners at its Stamford Bridge Stadium. The club’s partnership with Philips began in 1999, when Philips installed two 130 square-foot television screens in the stadium. The new electronic banners will be installed for next year’s season.
Electronic banners and billboards are being installed across the country due to their incredibly bright, clear displays that change messages every eight seconds. Many electronic banners can be seen for miles away. If you’re looking for an attention-grabbing light for your next party, consider Coast LED Lenser’s Seven Color LED Base light, as shown at right. This low-energy light may also be used to highlight your personal art display.
