Washington Wolf Pup May Indicate Third Pack
Saturday, September 18th, 2010It’s been a good year for wolves in the Pacific Northwest. First, the Imnaha pack of Eastern Oregon added four new pups to its pack this spring, slowly moving the animals towards delisting as an endangered species in Oregon. Now, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife reports that a gray wolf pup that was trapped, radio-collared and released earlier this month may be proof that the state is home to a third breeding wolf pack.
