BC Campgrounds Announces 2007 Season

The Living Forest Oceanside RV and Campground in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada has announced the start of its 2007 summer camping season. The Living Forest construction staff has worked hard through the wet and chilly winter season building another 40 premium recreational vehicle sites to bring the total number of sites up to 300.

The supply of campsites has been declining on Vancouver Island over the last few years while the number of families seeking camping locations in the area has grown.  The decline in camping locations is partly due to the conversion of camping land to condos and housing subdivisions on the island.

The ever rising price of gas and ferries has meant that many Vancouver Island residents have had to stay on the island for their camping adventures. The Living Forest has over 50 acres of forest and water on three sides which makes the area a favorite among residents.  The Living Forest also attracts a number of families from Europe.
