Automotive lighting, once a fairly stable technology, is now being updated and improved upon because of growing safety and energy efficiency issues. New developments are positioned to transform this business sector in the next few years.  These new developments include the emergence of Advanced Front-lighting Systems (AFS), Curve Adaptive Lighting (CAL), intelligent lighting systems and the increasing use of light-emitting diodes (LED).
