American Hiking Society’s 15th National Trails Day – June 2nd
Redwood Adventures, a business unit of Redwood Parks Lodge Company, has announced it will host a festival in honor of the American Hiking Society’s 15th annual National Trails Day on June 2, 2007.
Visitors to Northern California’s Redwood National and State Parks and surrounding communities are invited to participate in bike rides, horseback rides, kayak trips and interpretive hikes. Guides for the events will be leading wildlife biologist with the U.S. Forest Service and Redwood Sciences Laboratory.
The National Trails Day celebration is designed to inspire the public to visit the trails in and around the Redwood National and State Parks. It is the hope of the event organizers that visitors will learn about and celebrate the area while participating in guided tours, gear demonstrations, educational exhibits, art, food and music.
