Thanks to a recently signed $80 million contract, Honeywell International Incorporated will equip Airbus’ A320 fleet with long-lasting LED lights on the aircrafts’ wingtips. The new LED bulbs will last 40 times longer than the current halogen wing lights, translating to $30,000 in annual savings.

Although LEDs often require a larger initial investment than their incandescent counterparts, over the long run, switching to LED bulbs can save money for the average American consumer, as well as municipal governments and corporations. Wondering which bulb to replace first? How about the porch light? Just one Flood Leflector, right, will last for 50,000 hours, or five years of continuous use.
