This Saturday, many will be camping out overnight to get their hands on some great used gear deals at the 2009 Used Gear Sale for co-op members at REI. Now, I am a big fan of REI. They have great gear especially good skiing and outdoor clothes. But you won’t find the best of everything at this sale.

For many, fishing is closely tied with vacations. We plan a hiking or camping trip up to our favorite lake expecting to enjoy the great outdoors for an extended weekend. If you like to camp at some of the Northwest’s most popular campsites, you may want to go ahead and make a reservation for your summer vacation. PacifiCorp will open is reservations line this Sunday, March 1, 2009 for many of the parks around Portland and Southern Washington, including Cresap Bay and Cougar Camp parks.
