Music industry sites, such as ATCTower.net, are joining their more traditional environmental counterparts, such as ecospace.cc, to inform musicians about how they can rock without hurting the third rock from the sun.

US Air Force Installation Updated with Solar-Powered LED Landing Lights

C-130E USAF planes departing Iraq for ItalyThe US Air Force has ordered more than $450,000 of wireless solar LED lights from Carmanah Technologies Corporation to update an airfield in the middle east. The lights are expected to improve visibility and increase safety, as they are 40 times brighter than the airfield’s current lights. The Carmanah A704-5 lights also offer a nighttime infrared mode, for use with night vision goggles.
