Marl LED Will Help Medical Crews Assess Racing Crash Severity

Here’s a great new application for LED light technology that is innovative, interesting and could help medical crews save lives. Following the pending approval of it by the FIA, the Marl LED (at right) will be fitted to all Formula One racing cars as a warning light. The LED will be part of a mandatory Crash Severity Indication System that will help medical rescue crews determine the severity of an accident by indicating when a driver has undergone severely damaging levels of shock during a crash.

The Paws on the Path Hiking Club is organizing the 9th annual Makapu’u Lighthouse evening hike for all hikers and their dogs. This beloved event will take place on January 26. The event, sponsored also by the Hawaiian Humane Society, will begin at the Makapu’u hiking trail at 4:30pm. Hikers and their four-legged friends will hike a roughly 3 mile, low-risk trail. In a press release distributed the first week of the New Year,
The Brevard City Council approved connecting the Bracken Hiking Trail system with the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education in North Carolina on Thursday. The council also requested that city staff look into a possible partnership with the United States Forest Service and the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. The approval from the city council coupled with the $1.1 million dollars from the state gives the city what it needs to begin the development phase of the hiking trail project.
