German Future Prize Awarded to OSRAM LED Researchers

One of the most prestigious awards for research and development in Germany, The German Future Prize, has been awarded to the group of inventors that developed the thin-film LED chip technology and its application in the Ostar family of LEDs for Osram. Enoree Passage South Carolina Open For Hiking

The Enoree Passage of the Palmetto Trail in South Carolina has opened after nearly seven years of construction. The 36 mile trail is part of a planned 425 mile ocean to mountain trail in the area.  The Enoree Passage is now the longest stretch of the trail north of Columbia.  The trail is expected to be a great area for hiking, overnight backpacking, and tent camping for outdoor enthusiasts in the South Carolina area.  There area also stretches of the pathway that are ideal for day hiking near Duncan Creek and Prospect Corner Road.

LEDtronics Showcase R30 LED Spotlight Bulbs on YouTube

Welland, Ontario Joins Growing Number of Cities Installing LED Streetlights

On December 5, Welland, Ontario in Canada launched the first phase of its LED outdoor lighting installations. They unveiled new 47 LED luminaries in the streetlights of Fitch Street. The new LED streetlights are part of the city’s first phase contract to update its roadway lighting applications.  The work is being completed by Relume Technologies and marks the first ever LED outdoor lighting application on a full street in North America.
