Get Involved with Creating Hiking and Biking Trails in Missouri

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

The Scott County government in Missouri is interested in hearing ideas from residents on potentially developing a cross-county hiking and biking trail.  The initial idea is that an outdoor trail system in the county may spark tourism and outdoor recreation for the county’s residents, specifically the youth population. No specifics have been laid out yet – where the trail will go, how it will specifically be funded or what communities it will connect. That is why it is such a great opportunity now to get involved and give opinions on how a hiking and biking trail can benefit your community, what you would like to see the trail achieve and how best to utilize this great opportunity for outdoor recreation, conservation and fitness.
